“People are like stained glass windows – they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is only revealed if there is a light within.”

~Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

“Almost everything – all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure – these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.”

~ Steve Jobs

25: Action

“It is in vain to say human beings ought to be satisfied with tranquility:

they must have action;

and they will make it if they can not find it”

~Charlotte Bronte

24: GIF Collection

So today I woke up in a down mood and decided (after my morning cup of coffee) that going through my gifs would cheer me up.

Well, what I discovered is that I have many many more than I thought! So here I am, sharing my obscure collection of gifs that range from movies, shows, award shows, etc.

[NOTE: This is probably NSFW due to visual content]

23: DIY DECORATIVE MUG

Salutations!

I am a hot beverage addict, coffee to be specific!

So fun and catchy mugs are something I am frequently introducing into my home…

Here is a fun and easy way to decorate your own mug!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DIY: DECORATIVE MUG
Image
STEP 1:  Gather materials! All you need for this project are three things-a mug (I went to the $Tree), a Sharpie (or permanent marker), and a working oven!
STEP 2: Preheat the oven to 350 F. Make sure the surface of your mug is clean so the marker really sticks. Draw your design on the mug and let the ink set for a few minutes. I left my mug out for the 5-10 minutes it took to preheat the oven.
STEP 3: Place the mug on a cookie sheet or oven safe pan and place on the middle rack of the oven. Let the mug bake for 30 minutes.
STEP 4: Carefully remove the mug from the hot oven (remember to protect yourself! use oven mitts!) and set the mug aside to let it cool. Wait until the mug is completely cooled off, cold to the touch, to make sure that a) no one gets burnt fingers and b) to let the marker set completely.
STEP 5: Fill with your favorite hot beverage and enjoy!!
[IMPORTANT NOTE]: I have heard from others who have done this same project, that if you clean the mug in a dishwasher that the pen could wash off. I personally do not have a dishwasher, so I wash all my mugs by hand and have not had any problems with the image since I baked it!
22: Original Poem ~ Questions
It’s funny, it’s serious, it’s scary,
this love,
is it yours? is it mine?
is it ours?
is it real?
does it matter?
will it matter in time?
How should I feel?
Your skin upon my breast, my breast such a useless flesh…
…if only love were more weight proportionate to the flesh…
…complusion, torture, mystery, diversion…
….I love you…
but this love,
is it yours?
is it mine?
is it ours?
is it real?
…all things settle and resolve in time.
New DIY post coming before this weekend! It should be posted tomorrow 🙂
Happy May!
